Finally, summer! The garden is in full bloom and offers a cool and shady spot on hot summer days. The Hortus celebrates summer with Summer Evenings: from the 21st of June the garden and the Orangery-café will be open every Thursday and Sunday until 21:00 hrs. Relax at our terrace with a cool drink and have an evening stroll enjoying our unique plant collection. Or join some of our evening activities: there are yoga sessions on Thursdays and beautiful classical concerts on Sundays. Check our programme page for information and tickets.
We also have a special summer tour for children.
Our cafe is open every day from 10:00 to 17:00 hrs, and on Thursdays and Sundays until 21:00 hrs. The terrace gives you a great view of the garden. We serve hot and cold drinks, sandwiches, salads and soups. Enjoy your summer evenings with a nice meal, while you relax from a long day in the city.
(the cafe is only open to visitors of the garden)
Our Greenhouse concerts are back! This summer, the Hortus is once again hosting a series of classical concerts in the Palm greenhouse.
