Entrance fees

Please note: the Hortus is pin-only. It’s not possible to pay with cash at the entrance, in the store or restaurant. Keep in mind that our Climate House will be closed for renovation until June 2025.

The Museumcard (Museumjaarkaart) is not valid at the Hortus.

Please be aware that ‘entrance tickets’ from resellers like The City Go Card or Thrillophilia are not valid at the Hortus. Please check the websites carefully before purchasing your tourist card.
The I Amsterdam City Card contains most (if not all) cultural venues in Amsterdam, and can also be used at the Hortus.

Free entrance:
UVA Biology students (on presentation of your student card), ICOM members, (inter)national press card holders, wheelchair attendants, Friends of the following institutions: Hortus Botanicus Leiden, TU Delft Botanical Garden, Pinetum Blijdenstein Hilversum.
