Parking is limited in the immediate vicinity of de Hortus.
The parking pressure in the Amsterdam’s city centre is very high, hence we advise you to travel by public transport.

If you are traveling to Amsterdam by car, Park and Ride (P+R) is the smartest and cheapest way for drivers to park their car and travel into Amsterdam’s city centre. These car parks are located on the outskirts of the city near motorways and have excellent public transport connections.

If you would like to park near the Hortus, you can use one of the two nearby indoor car parks: Markenhoven and Stadhuis – Muziektheater.

For specific directions in the Netherlands please consult the ANWB.

For people with mobility issues it is possible to make a short stop directly in front of our main entrance. You can reach the entrance when you arrive from the Nieuwe Herengracht. Long term parking is not possible here.
