As a tribute to this special place, we are organising a one-off party before the renovation really starts. On Thursday, March 28, we invite you to participate in this unique experience.
After removing all the plants and before we replace all the glass, an empty greenhouse is what’s left… The perfect place for a special party! We’re organising a spectacular silent disco under the stars, from 8:00 PM to 12:00 AM.
Dance where the subtropics once were, while enjoying the best music through our headphones. By participating in this event, you contribute to the sustainable renovation of the greenhouse. Your presence is not only a celebration, but also an act of support for an important mission! Costs are 40 euros for a ticket – all proceeds will go to the renovation.

Please note: the event takes place on a building site, therefore we expect all visitors to be responsible for their own safety and agree to the statement below. In order to participate in the exclusive silent disco in the Climate House in the Hortus Amsterdam on March 28, 2024, participants and guests agree to free Hortus from liability.
When purchasing a ticket and entering the Climate House, you indemnify the Hortus and all affiliated companies, companies and their directors against all losses, expenses (including legal assistance costs, medical costs and including claims from third parties) and damage, in whatever form whatsoever, which you suffer during or as a result of your visit to the silent disco in the Climate House in the Hortus Botanicus Amsterdam on March 28, 2024.
This indemnification does not apply if the damage is the result of intent or deliberate recklessness on the part of the Indemnified Party.
