Every expense made in the Hortus contributes directly to our organisation and mission. Hosting your business event in one of our unique venues is the perfect way to connect your colleagues and partners with our green heritage and the inspiring stories of nature. Surrounded by thousands of plant species and historic buildings, our garden offers a truly exceptional setting for your event. Our venues are ideal for meetings, dinners, and celebrations.
Corporate membership
Give yourself and your employees exclusive entrance to our garden.
With the company card, the Hortus can be visited free of charge year-round, Monday through Friday. The pass costs €105 and is valid for 12 months.
The card grants access to the Hortus for up to 3 people at a time. It is registered in the company’s name and can therefore be used by any employee. Colleagues are also welcome to bring clients or business partners.
Planning a team lunch or a short meeting in the garden? In the busy city center, the Hortus offers a uniquely green environment that inspires fresh, out-of-the-box thinking. As a company card holder, you can reserve a table in the Orangerie for lunch. In addition, companies receive a 10% discount on venue hire when booking one of our spaces.
Adopt a plant
Our adoption programme offers a unique opportunity to strengthen your brand visibility while contributing to Corporate Social Responsibility. You can choose to adopt a tree or plant from our collection, or support our educational programme by enabling school visits for communities with limited access to our garden.
Plant adoption
Many of our plants have a unique story or appearance. It is often possible to find a tree that beautifully reflects your company’s name, product, or even business philosophy.
Adopting a tree or plant starts at €1,500 for a period of five years. We are happy to discuss possible benefits in return and explore ways to collaborate in joint promotion during this time. Each adoption package includes:
- An adoption certificate as proof of the bond between the company and the plant
- Company name on the collection label
- Company name on our website
- A corporate pass with access to the Hortus
Adopt a school visit
Nature education is one of the Hortus’ most important missions. We offer a variety of programmes for both primary and secondary schools.
The Hortus believes that every child should have access to nature education. Unfortunately, not all children in Amsterdam are able to participate in our programmes. Too often, schools tell us with regret that they simply lack the resources to fund or organise a visit. That is why we now offer the opportunity to adopt a full school visit, ensuring that every school has the chance to include the Hortus in its curriculum.
By adopting a class visit, you not only support the educational activities of the Hortus, but also make it possible for a class to experience the garden firsthand. The Hortus is in touch with schools that wish to participate but cannot afford to do so. You may also choose to nominate a specific school or class yourself. We assist the school in overcoming practical barriers to a visit—whether that means covering entrance fees, arranging transport, providing additional guidance, or a combination of these.
