A special occassion to celebrate? The Hortus Amsterdam, one of the world’s oldest botanical gardens, offers a truly unique setting for your evening dinner. Surrounded by lush greenery, our elegant Orangery is the perfect place to host an unforgettable gathering.
The Oranjerie
With its tall glass doors opening directly onto the garden terrace, the light-filled Orangery creates a seamless flow between indoors and outdoors. Enjoy an intimate dinner for up to 60 guests inside, or extend the celebration to 80 guests by combining the terrace and indoor space. If the weather is uncertain, the terrace can be partially covered to ensure comfort.
The Orangery is available for evening hire from 18:30, seven days a week.

To make your event truly special, the Hortus works with a handpicked selection of experienced caterers and suppliers who know the spaces and their possibilities inside out. Our team will gladly provide you with up-to-date information about our current catering partners and help you find the perfect match for your celebration.”
Hortus extras
Treat your guests to a guided tour of the garden before dinner. Our guides will be happy to show visitors remarkable plants, night-blooming flowers, and centuries-old trees. You can even choose a theme, such as love or edible plants. Tours are available in several languages.
