An extraordinary AirBnB in Amsterdam; illustrator and artist Joost Stokhof will immerse himself for a week at the Hortus Botanicus in Amsterdam. From July 10th to 16th, he will live and work between water lilies, desert plants, butterflies, and rare trees to become part of this botanical ecosystem. At the end, his experiences will be captured in a series of illustrations.
A live exhibition, would be a good description Stokhof’s project. Visitors can watch him illustrate, musicians and writers will visit him, and will try to create together. Meanwhile, the exhibition is growing by the day. Joost commits himself on Monday July 10th in an empty glass house, and at the end of the week, the space will be covered with thoughts, observations, and memories, drawn out on paper. In these illustrations, plants and people, residents and visitors will come together and tell a new story about life in the garden.
